First time here! I love the Christmas decor and there is plenty of parking. This is at the Bella Terra location My friend and I came at 9:30p (they close at 10p and kitchen closes at 10p) but they didn't rush us out at all. Clam chowder is phenomenal, the bread is soft in the middle but flaky and a little tough on the outside but nothing too bad. The battered fish dish was yummy and the highlight of my meal. Huge pieces of fish. I was full and satisfied. I also love their tartar sauce Scrumptious butter cake too with ice cream! Great treat to share.
Parking at Bella Terra is pretty challenging but you'll find parking eventually. This was my first time trying out this place. We were seated rather quickly on a Friday afternoon at 12:30. It wasn't busy at all. We ordered calamari for the table and it came out fresh and hot. It did taste a bit on the fishy side however and there was no fresh lemon to squeeze over the calamari either which was a tad disappointing. I had ordered the oyster sampler ($39.80) and also shared the Alaskan halibut dish ($38.50) with my boyfriend. The oyster sampler was absolutely delicious. I enjoyed every single one of the oysters. I have been searching for another place that served fresh oysters on half shell and I think I've found the place. The Alaskan halibut dish was okay. I wasn't really able to taste much of the orange ginger butter sauce that was drizzled on the fish. The dish came with 2 choice of sides and we got Mac and cheese and mashed potatoes. The Mac and cheese could be cheesier. It tasted a bit dry. Overall, the experience was great and they had this deal going on where you purchase a $100 gift card and get $20 I think in coupon to use for future use or something. My sister had purchased that so it could cover the meal. The service on the other hand was really slow. Our server was sometimes nowhere to be found and it took us around 20 minutes trying to pay for our meal so that we could leave.
I've been coming here for several years and I have a new favorite! We usually come for lunch when the restaurant is quiet, it does have a tendency to get loud. However, they have an awesome outside eating area. When it comes to food I have a REALLY finicky stomach. The server was so accommodating and it made all the difference. Katherine was very patient and left a few things off of this salad LOADED with shrimp, scallops, bacon, eggs, avocado and crab. All of the flavors blended together perfectly and the salad was HUGE! It is easily sharable or 2 meals. It's a little pricey but not over the top considering how much seafood is in the salad. We usually eat at one of the booths in the bar. You need to get seated from the front desk but you can seat yourself at a bar stool. Also, there is an oyster bar at the bar. I saw one patron choose her own oysters! Highly recommend it! Enjoy!
Stopped by this location for a quick bite and couldn't resist ordering the yellowtail carpaccio--one of our all-time favorites. We also had the seafood Cobb salad, which is always fresh and delicious. And, of course, we couldn't pass up the complimentary freshly baked sourdough with butter. The service was friendly and just as good as always.
I just received the most impeccable service from Alexander, the tall dude with glasses , that I had to leave a positive review for him. His service was complementary to what I receive at Mastros. He was very detailed and executed a perfect service. I can't wait to come back. Hopefully, I'll see this smiley face again.
We live nearby and were craving seafood, so this spot has been consistent and convenient for us. We got seated pretty fast because it wasn't busy when we arrived. It was hot that day too, so I'm glad the AC was blasting. To start it off, we ordered half a dozen of the Kumamoto oysters and another half of dozen of the Shigoku oysters. Keep in mind, these are pacific oysters and I prefer them over the Atlantic (east coast) oysters because it's sweet and little salty. No fishiness either. Great to drink with beers. The clam chowder soup was good. We killed the whole bowl. The kings combo platter however was a 3/5. I feel like the portion was underwhelming for sharing. Regardless I really enjoyed the fish sticks and the sauce it came with. Ofc, seafood in Redondo is bomb, but this place is convenient. The bill came out pretty pricey though for what it was worth. If you guys want decent seafood to satisfy your cravings, I recommend this spot.
King's Fish will always be a great go-to for seafood as their locations are always very convenient and strategic. It's our first time in this location, and the ambiance once again didn't disappoint - the décor, lighting, colors and seating all blend elegantly. The oysters we had were the best I had in a while! We got the Henderson Bay oysters and we topped each oyster with all the 4 condiments served there (I think it's cocktail sauce, vinegar, onions and radish) and the combination of flavors was a bomb. I was a bit disappointed with my Wild Mexican White Sea Bass, it is not as flavorful as I hoped it would be, and didn't care much for the zucchini sides, but I did enjoy my meal. The Roasted Brussel Sprouts was great. My friend had a Wild Rose Chilean Sea Bass and omg, the fish melts in your mouth. I'll remember this when I come back.
We had another fine dinner gathering here with my son's family to celebrate my and Diane's birthdays. Everything was delicious, and we received excellent responsive service from Amber and other staff members. We opened with 1 lb. of chilled Shrimp from Mexco and a half-dozen Kumamoto Oysters from California. A Lobster Crunchy Roll, King's Albacore Roll, and Yellowtail Carpaccio rounded out the starters, along with two Bowls of Clam Chowder and two Caesar Salads. As usual, the complimentary Sourdough Bread and Butter added a welcome element to the meal. Entrees included Macadamia Nut Crusted Halibut with a Baked Potato loaded with Cheddar Cheese and bacon; Miso Marinated Chilean Seabass with a side of Mac and Cheese; and Trout Amandine. The restaurant provided tasty Butter Cake and Chocolate Cake to the birthday celebrants without charge. For top-grade seafood, this is the place to go!
I went here tonight for valentines day and it really went above my expectations!!! It was packed yet the service was absolutely fantastic! The restaurant isn't too loud and it has a cute theme :) But here is what we got! We got the captain seafood tower, honestly if you love seafood like me, i think the portion is good for two people. The shellfish was excellently shucked, the crab was nicely cooked, and THOSE SIDE SAUCES WERE TO DIE FOR! They have this habanero sauce for the oysters that is to absolutely die for, i would drink it if i could. We also got the cajun clams which were flavorful and garlicky. Amazing. We also got the spicy chowder which was super yummy. Don't skimp on the bread either! Its good and fresh!
My birthday celebration over the weekend continues with a nice dinner here at Kings Fish! I've been to the orange location twice, but decided to try the HB location this time. We had reservations for a table of 12. I didn't get the server's name, but lets just say service was attentive and friendly and we never got a dirty look even after asking for at least 5 or 6 rounds of bread. That sourdough is just hot and delicious! Most of the party shared food with each other. I decided to share 6 dishes with 4 other people, so I got to try a good amount. Pictures are included of some of the things we tried. I did try the lobster roll, fried shrimp, miso sea bass, and octopus appetizer to name a few. My favorite has to be the clam linguine. Some other things ordered at the table that I did not try was the fish and chips, sirloin steak, tuna melt, clam chowder, and fish tacos. I would give the food I tried a 3.9, but some people who got the steak didn't like their steak as much as I enjoyed the seafood. Since we had a birthday cake, we didn't get to try any of their desserts, so next time I am here I would probably get some of that. I am guessing the bill was a little over $500, so expect to pay about $55ish per person depending on what you order. I can see myself returning with friends or even a nice date here!
